23rd annual Potomac River Run Marathon & Half

Welcome to 23rd annual Potomac River Run Marathon & Half on Saturday, May 2, 2026,

We use RFID tags stapled to the name tag at the bottom of your bib number to time the race.

Marathoners start at 8 AM, half marathoners start at 9 AM.

We have cash awards for the first M/F ($250), second M/F ($150), and  third M/F ($100) -- ONLY for the marathon.

We have merchandise awards in the half marathon for the top three M/F overall and by 10-year age group, and the top three M/F by 10-year age group in the full marathon.

Awards include limited-edition 3" 6-blade pocket knives (TSA compliant), sturdy blue athletic totebags, and warm wooly winter hats in blue, black, red, yellow and pink.
