Transporting WA Boats to 2026 Kayak Marathon Nationals
Location: Burley Griffin Canoe Club, Morshead Drive, Canberra 10th/13th April 2026
Reserve a place here to transport your boat to this year’s Marathon Nationals in Canberra. Transport will be on trailers towed by Darryl Long & Peter Martin
Return Costs are: K1 : $500, SUP : $500, K2/OS1/OS2 : $600.
One way costs are: K1 : $250, SUP : $250, K2/OS1/OS2 : $300.
Boats will be loaded up at a time and place yet to be finalised.
Note this registration is for a maximum of 23 boats. As of AM 31st Jan, 16 boats have been booked in. We only have capacity for 7 more. If you have more than one boat, please put separate bookings in for the other boats. Use a slightly modified name for the second boat, so John Smith and then John Smith 1, something like that.
In the event of accident or fire resulting in total loss of craft whilst in transit, the boats will be covered by Paddle Australia insurance. Otherwise, craft travel at and get stored at owner’s risk. Kayaks can be insured for damage on the water through Paddle Australia and they can be insured for most off-watrer risks through Home Contents policies.
Security on arrival is under discussion with the organisers.
